The only GPS-accurate paper charts of the Baja Peninsula and the Sea of Cortez
Created by Gerry Cunningham, our high quality charts printed on high quality paper are even in the right place on the planet! What??! Other charts are based on data gathered by the USS Narraganset in 1873. Seriously! And, bless their hearts, those guys did the best they could with what they had to work with, but we have a little better technology these days. Gerry took the nautical chart information and added it to topographical maps (which are in the right place) and came up with these charts! You will notice as you cruise Mexico, that most of the electronic charts on chart plotters are off by as much as two miles in some places! Yikes! Not our charts, they are spot on.
You don't use paper charts? Yeah, I know.... But has your computer ever crashed? Cell phone died, got wet, cracked, battery went nuts???? We won't even mention lightening, electrical issues, theft or any of that "it won't happen to me" stuff. Prudent sailors carry paper charts. Period. You might as well have the only accurate ones out there!
Besides, plotting your position every few hours is good practice. And fun too!
